Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 4
The Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 4 is a neutral racing shoe.

Description

The Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 4 is the Puma racer for distances from 5K to the marathon, completely revamped for 2026. Very light and with an 8 mm heel-to-toe drop, it features Nitro Elite ATPU foam (aliphatic thermoplastic polyurethane, take that!) that delivers exceptional bounce without relying on the usual PEBA. The PWRPLATE carbon plate and the Pumagrip outsole complete a build focused on maximum performance, possibly one of the best shoes the German brand has released for "amateur" road runners (the prices are elite, as the name itself says), since on the track it has had more continuity in recent times.

Compared with its predecessor, the Deviate Nitro Elite 3, the changes are significant: a weight reduction of around 13% that is noticeable from the first kilometre, a more responsive midsole thanks to the new formulation of the Nitro Elite compound and an outsole with better durability. The Ultraweave upper is more breathable and lighter, with a race fit that keeps the foot in place to transmit every movement when you "fly low" over the tarmac. The tongue and ankle collar have just enough padding to avoid chafing without adding unnecessary weight.

The Nitro Elite (ATPU) midsole offers a very responsive ride, with quick transitions thanks to the rocker geometry and the full-length integrated carbon plate. With an 8 mm drop, the geometry is versatile for heel and midfoot strikers. Ideal for runners with deep pockets looking for a racer with an excellent balance of cushioning and responsiveness, especially in races from 5K to the marathon.
