Description
The Puma Deviate Nitro 4 is a daily trainer that stands out for its versatility and responsiveness. With an 8 mm heel-to-toe drop and a moderate weight, it has a dual-density midsole with PEBA-based NitroFoam on top and a PEBA blend below, with a carbon plate sandwiched between them that perhaps makes it too stiff compared with its rivals in exchange for more propulsion: it is a luxury to be able to choose. The Pumagrip outsole offers exceptional traction, even on wet surfaces.
Compared with the Deviate Nitro 3, the changes are notable: about 9% less weight, a wider midfoot platform for more stability and a lighter, more breathable ventilated mesh upper that improves the fit without compromising comfort. The geometry has been refined for smoother, more natural transitions. For those looking for a more race-oriented option, the Deviate Nitro Elite 4 shares the platform but with ATPU-based NitroFoam Elite foam and significantly less weight.
The combination of the PWRPLATE carbon plate and NitroFoam foam gives a responsive, energetic ride, ideal for fast paces and quality sessions. The fit is roomier than in previous versions, especially in the forefoot, which makes it comfortable for runners with wide feet. Perfect for demanding workouts at a controlled pace and moderately fast intervals.
