Description

The Runner's World award-winner New Balance 1500 v2 is a lightweight racing shoe with responsive cushioning and support for moderate overpronation. Bootie construction with tongue attached to both sides for enhanced comfort and no friction at all make the 1500 v2 a perfect choice for triathletes (lighter than jazzy Asics Gel Noosa Tri 11) and those willing to run sockless.

Current third edition hits the market to amend some minor issues from its predecessor the 1500 v1 related to slippery tongue and loose upper fit. Tongue is now stitched and upper has been reenginered by fusing two thin materials with a no-sew process that produces an ultralight structure (Fantom Fitβ„’) for snug fit. The N logo is the biggest reflective element in order to enhance visibility under poor light conditions.

Although the 1500 v2 is a really light shoe, it provides pronation correction based on higher density foam in the midfoot while additional arch support and torsional stability are powered by light, flexible TPU shank (T-Beam) in the midfoot. Cushioning relies on full length of light and responsive REVlite foam which is already well known from other popular shoes from the american brand like its relative for neutral runners 1400 v3.
