The New Balance 1260 v6 updates premium running shoe with pronation control and plush cushioning from the american brand. It should be noted that it does not feature innovative Fresh Foam in midsole (feedback from neutral runners counterpart Fresh Foam 1080 is not as positive as expected) while competitors like Asics Gel Kayano 23 and Adidas Ultra Boost ST offer latest technologies available.
Minor upper changes compared to its predecessor 1260 v5 with fewer overlays over breathable mesh clearly inspired on reliable 880 v6. Reversed "v" construction wraps midfoot and provides a secure, snug fit with classical big "N" from Boston brand on top of it made of reflective material to improve visibility under poor light conditions.
Maybe it was too early for the 1260 saga to incorporate Fresh Foam already seen in smaller sibling Fresh Foam Vongo, so midsole relies on well-known materials like ABZORB®, ACTEVA® LITE and N2. Pronation control is based on dual density medial post combined with T-BEAM shank for torsional stability through the midfoot and heel counter for lower lateral support. Decouple outsole configuration and lug pattern is based (again) in 880 v6 for more flexibility and springer toe-off. It uses harder rubber (Ndurance®) in more exposed ares to increase durability.
