Brooks Glycerin 23
The Brooks Glycerin 23 is a neutral cushioned running shoe.

Description

The Brooks Glycerin 23 is a maximum-cushioning daily trainer, designed for runners who put comfort first on every mile. With its DNA Tuned midsole, it offers a soft, balanced ride that absorbs impact without losing stability. The hard-wearing rubber outsole provides durable traction on a range of surfaces. Ideal for easy runs, long runs and runners who value a protected, predictable ride.

The Glycerin 23 reduces the drop from 10 mm to 8 mm, with 39 mm of stack height at the heel and 31 mm at the forefoot, adding cushioning under the forefoot for a softer ride. The triple jacquard mesh upper with a knit collar gives a breathable, premium fit (you should at least be able to tell you are paying good money for the shoes). Against rivals such as the Asics Gel Nimbus 27, the Glycerin 23 offers more stability and durability; compared with the Hoka Clifton 10, it gains in protection but gives up some lightness.

On the run, the Glycerin 23 shines on easy runs and recovery runs. The combination of DNA Tuned and a stable design gives a smooth ride that invites you to rack up the miles without fatigue. It is protective enough for hard surfaces yet stable enough for moderate paces. The fit is premium (yes, the kind that feels expensive), with a padded collar and breathable mesh. Outsole durability is excellent thanks to the brand's trademark hard-wearing rubber. At 309 g (men's), it is one of the most protective options in its category. Compared with the Nike Vomero 18, the Glycerin 23 offers more stability and durability; against the Saucony Triumph 22, it gains in protection but gives up some responsiveness. There is no accounting for taste.
