It is usual to to see many changes in a new product's update like Asics Dynaflyte 2, but definitely a price drop is not. It is a good thing people from Asics have taken some decisions in the right direction (lower price, lower weight, softer touch) after receiving feedback from unbiased testers and not as good as expected sale figures. The DynaFlyte 2 is a risky product because its natural position is somewhere between a training and a performance running shoe, a place where models like New Balance Fresh Foam Zante v3 or the popular Saucony Kinvara 8 are moderately successful.

Major changes compared to its predecessor, the original DynaFlyte take place in the upper featuring a clean design based on multilayer mesh, quite pretty actually. Both classical Asics logo and other reinforcements (like toe bumper) have been moved above external Adapt Mesh layer (no logo in inner side) so snug and secure fit work as expected and also provide reflectivity under poor light conditions.

No changes in rest of DinaFlyte 2 with one-piece FlyteFoam™ midsole with reinforced fibers which hides the classical GEL® unit in the rearfoot for improved shock absorption. Configuration is a little bit different than in other Asics running shoes featuring FlyteFoam™ like premium Nimbus 19. Outsole remains untouched and includes typical vertical flex groove (Guidance Line®) for smoother ride and offers different rubber depending on the are with AHAR+ in more exposed ones for increased durability.
