Description
The Adidas Terrex Agravic 4 is the entry-level shoe of the Terrex Agravic range in 2026, designed for the everyday runner looking for a versatile, no-fuss option at a price that is not outrageous. Within the German brand's collection, the Terrex Agravic Speed 2 is nimbler and geared towards brisk paces (as its name suggests) and the Terrex Agravic Speed Ultra 2 is the one for racing long distances. Next to them, the Agravic 4 is the accessible everyday shoe that puts durability and comfort ahead of responsiveness and performance. With a generous amount of foam and a robust build, it offers a balanced mix of cushioning and agility for moderately technical terrain.
The synthetic mesh upper is light and secure, with a good fit and reinforced laces that keep the foot well held on technical descents. Breathability is limited by the density of the material, but this translates into a robust build that puts protection first against things found on the trail such as branches or stones. It probably also has to do with the drive to oversize the classic Adidas three stripes, as if you had to show everyone which brand you are wearing. Its Lightstrike 3.0 midsole provides consistent, stable cushioning, while the full-coverage Continental™ outsole delivers grip that does not disappoint on any surface, from wet rock to gravel, without particularly shining on any of them.
In short, the Terrex Agravic 4 is the most versatile and affordable (well... least expensive) option in the Terrex Agravic range, ideal for anyone looking for a trail shoe able to tackle almost any terrain with confidence without paying for racing features. Its weight-to-cushioning ratio is well balanced, the stability is remarkable for a neutral shoe and the Continental™ grip is pretty good.
